This is what happens when you’re winding a vintage pickup and the 40yr old spool of vintage 42AWG decides to act like a cranky old man, losing its temper and snapping.

Result: 4000+ turns of coil rendered useless in an instant.

S***t happens as they say.

    hi i have a joe barden danny gatton bridge pickup. i have been  restoring my tele paint finish and have some how snapped the fine copper strands that rap over the eadge of the pickup , i have tryed to pick them up with solder, no good, wired it back up still nothing, can you help
