Introducing the bone-dry, 30yr old wood series
Introducing the first from a series of six, guitar No. 005 Blackguard One. There's something about the jazzmaster shape. It may not suit all tastes, it may even has some players spitting venom but I like it. Its an iconic shape for a guitar. I was part way through building a jazzmaster style guitar based on the old Elvis Costello jazzmaster (now a Fender custom recreation), but one made from real walnut wood rather than having a walnut finish. I put that to one side when I came across the 30yr old reclaimed pine and realising there was enough wood for six bodies, a guitar with the jazzmaster shape was to be the first in the series - and here it is.
*NOTE: I've recently changed the pickups on this to the new "Swing-O" Filtertron style - I'll upload new gallery pictures to reflect this.
